In a recent claim for one of our crane clients, ECBM had successfully assisted our client in seeking additional insured status under a general liability insurance policy issued to one of their vendors. After a period of time defending our insured, the vendor’s insurance carrier filed a Declaratory Judgment action seeking to be relieved of their insurance coverage obligation to our client. ECBM recently assisted one of their transportation clients to avoid having to pay $500,000 deductible on two separate claims. Through investigation and research, ECBM discovered that the client qualified as an additional insured under the insurance policies of two other trucking companies. Continue reading

Recently ECBM had a client who had problems with a prior insurance policy. The client was on their way to paying a $1million settlement under their self insured retention. ECBM discovered that there was a general liability policy, written through a prior insurance broker, covering the construction project in question. Continue reading
